Measure the inner ring (78cm/9 knopen = innersize 8.7 cm)

Place dots with pencil on the ring every  8.7 cm

Cut about  4 m of cord, make a double knot on the inside of the ring near the pencil dot.  

Move from left to right (make a knot around the ring at each dot).
Continue the same way and end with a knot in the middle.

Add some felt glue on the first and last knot and cut the cord.

How to create the name

Calculate about 20 cm of aluminium wire per letter..
For the name Louise we used 11m of pink cord (5.5m on both sides).
Fold the cord; start with a knot at the end of the wire, than make flat macrame knots till the end. Attach with some glue.

Tip: Write the name on some paper to help you bend the wire into the letters.  
 

Decorate with felt flowers.

Place back the 2e ring and hide the metal piece and first knot under the ring

Add decoration of your choice!
