Pébéo Gédéo Bio epoxy is a two-component resin system that partly uses bio-based raw materials. The resin is transparent with a high-gloss finish.
This range is suitable for casting, coatings and inclusions.
About Epoxy & Bio-Based Resin
Pébéo Gédéo Bio Resin is a two-component system (resin + hardener) that cures to a clear, solid layer.
This resin is designed for applications where transparency and durability are important.
Main Properties
• The resin is resistant to yellowing, making it suitable for objects intended to remain visible for long periods.
• In the “Glazing” version, about 40 % of the resin is bio-based — partially derived from renewable resources.
• The recommended mixing ratio is 2 parts resin to 1 part hardener (by volume).
• After mixing, the compound should be used promptly to prevent gelling or air entrapment.
• One layer can be poured up to approximately 2 cm thick.
• For thicker pours, it is often better to work in several stages to reduce stress and heat build-up.
Applications & Use
• Suitable as a protective coating on mixed-media work, wood, art objects, and for mould casting.
• Small objects or decorations (such as leaves, pearls, or glitter) can be embedded in the resin as inclusions.
• Temperature affects curing: extreme cold or heat may slow or disturb the hardening process.
• Tools should be cleaned before curing (e.g. with isopropanol or an appropriate cleaner).
• According to technical data, the surface dries within about 12 hours, with full curing reached after roughly 24 hours.
Safety, Storage & Handling
• Work in a well-ventilated area and wear protective clothing or gloves; the resin may cause skin irritation.
• Store the product in a dry, stable environment, away from direct sunlight and large temperature fluctuations.
• Dispose of leftover material responsibly; do not pour into the drain.
• This resin line is intended for artistic and hobby use; structural applications require stricter technical guidance.
